Released in May 1992 in cartridge format, and 1994 on the Neo Geo CD format, Ninja Commando is famed for its unintentionally funny English translation. In the game, you can choose to play as one of three Ninja characters, Joe, Ryu and Rayar (the female Ninja of the group), all with differing abilities. Each character also has fighting game style input commands that unleash special moves, for instance performing down, down forward, forward and the A button makes Joe perform his "Tornado Attack".
